Coimbatore Today: 474 new positive cases reported this Sunday takes the tally zoom past 34089 mark in Coimbatore. Seven new deaths have taken the toll to 462 overall deaths from Covid-19.
The district commission has been scouting all possible measures to identify and isolate new cases at the earliest stage possible with the district collector scrubbing the home quarantine policy. The board has ordered anyone tested positive to be taken to the Covid-19 camp as one more private hospital has been barred from treating Covid-19 cases as they tried ripping off patients with higher fee for treatment.
With new recovery numbers surging in, taking the total numbers of discharged cases to an amazing 28,739 with 4888 active cases.
Coimbatore has been reporting a sudden spike in numbers off lately. With the lockdown barely in effect, the numbers are in no mood to settle down anytime sooner.
Not just Coimbatore, the neighbouring places like Tirupur, Erode, Nilgris have also seen a steady surge in the number of total Covid-19 cases, especially with the now permitted tourism in Nilgiris with an prerequisite epass, the district commission is in a dire straits to bring the number under the radar.
With the shopping malls back to their glory days of flaunting their different outlets and theaters all set to start screening from the 15th of October, it has to be only seen if the new normal has finally been reinstated back to our Coimbatore.
