A day in Coimbatore is not obviously the best way to experience the pure bliss and tantalizing factor of the Kongu city. It’s not huge on papers though, but never short on the amusement lists. Just in case if you are short on time and want to squeeze the best places into a one day planner, head over to one day tour in Coimbatore blog.
Isha

Start your day with a mesmerizing trip to the face of Coimbatore, Adi Yogi. Isha yoga center is much more than just a spiritual representation, it’s more of a spiritual liberation through the power of yoga and meditation. The larger than life effigy of almighty Lord Shiva stands tall among the lush green lands of Velliangiri foothills.
The entry is free, experience utmost serenity and tranquility here free from the busy world. It should probably take you a solid 2 – 3 hours to check out the amazing place.

Siruvani

If you are done checking out the surreal beauty of Isha, then head straight to Siruvani Falls just about a 20 minutes drive from there. The drive will be really soothing with trees hovering over both ends and western ghats painting the backdrop at the side.
Siruvani also holds the reputation for the world’s second tastiest world. So be really warned that it will take up atleast 3 hours of your day to completely indulge into the melodic breezy stream of siruvani water flowing down the indigenous rocks.

Perur Patteswarar Temple

Another temple in Coimbatore that tests the time. A timeless creation by the earliest known rulers of Tamil Nadu, research shows that the Pattesswarar temple belongs to the 2nd century, making it one of the oldest temples in south India.
It is built as an absolute serenity for Lord Shiva, with beautiful art works and stone arts with earliest tamil letters and literature carved on them. Check this amazing temple on your way back from Siruvani.

Ukkadam smart city

What was once a busy, messy place now turns out to be one of the most modern and uptown hangout places in Coimbatore. One of the first places to go under the knife to get a radical smart city outlook as a part of the district’s ambitious project to impress Gen X.
Ukkadam smart city is a state of the art design language, with aesthetic lines throwing in the posh factor at every corners, with wifi facility, a lake view seating in the house, Ukkadam smart city can be ideal place to anchor down after a tiring day to listen to the soothing harmony of the water.

VOC park

This once used to be the wow factor of Coimbatore. And we sincerely hope this place gets back to its charming old skin. Well obviously bringing back the wild cats is not on the pitch as of now owing to the suffocating infrastructure, but improving the overall standards and livelihood of the animals there can increase the footfalls over weekends.
Nevertheless, VOC park has much more to offer for you than the zoo itself. There is a huge park where you can spend quality time with your family or loved ones, there is a huge ground nearby that commonly hosts a lot of public gatherings, shows, events, circuses, carnivals etc. perhaps you can check out the amazing street foods here as well.

Black thunder

Start a new day with an amazing time at the amusement park of Coimbatore. Black thunder is what heaven looks like, and we aren’t even going overboard with that statement. The western ghat foothills add to the blissful factor of the already breezy Black Thunder.
The entry price is quite on the higher side but if you are planning to go on weekdays or looking to get more tickets perhaps you can get a decent discount on your final bill. There are new rides added every year with seasonal rides like hot air balloon making it one of the most thrilling places to explore in Coimbatore.

Baralikadu

Another interesting addition to the list is Baralikaadu, once you are out from Black thunder (which would eat up an entire day), plan for a trip to baralikaadu the next day. Book your tickets upfront on their website. This will most probably take up your whole day as well.
The coracle ride is the highlight of this place, with a soothing boating experience with western ghats at the back drop adding more spice to your trip. You can get quality lunch and coffee here, all prepared by the tribal people themselves with a tantalizing taste. Don’t forget to check out this lesser known beauty.
